Potential Deterrent to Asthma

Studies indicate that when kids are regularly fed on fish in their daily diet are less prone to contract asthma as adults. Even adults suffering from asthma feel better when they have fish regularly.

Good for Eyes and Brain

The high content of the omega 3 fatty acids helps in the development of the brain tissues and the retina of the eyes. It thus helps in improving vision. It is also noted that when pregnant women and new mothers have fish in their daily diet give birth to babies who have better sight compared to those women who do not take fish. This is attributed to the presence of the omega 3 fatty acids that get transmitted through the breastmilk.

The risk of developing heart diseases goes down considerably when you have fish regularly. It is also an effective deterrent from developing other associated heart and other ailments. It can reduce blood clots and inflammation, improves and enhances the elasticity of the blood vessels, lowers blood pressures along with the body fat and enhances the levels of the good cholesterol. Although premature birth can be caused by a myriad of factors, but it has been noted that pregnant women who take fish regularly in their diet are less likely to deliver a premature baby.
