Deep Breathing Technique

Deep breathing is an easiest way to de-stress yourself. You can use this technique anywhere and anytime. Just take few deep breaths and you are done. Not only when you feel stressed but also you can practice this technique regularly. Deep breathing technique is one of the easiest and most preferred ways for reducing stress and improving the fitness level if your practice it regularly.

Meditation

Practice meditation to reduce stress. When you feel stressed, just close your eyes and sit for 10 to 15 minutes. You will feel relaxed quickly. However, if you practice meditation regularly, you will enjoy lots of benefits. Meditation will not only help you reduce stress but also improve your concentration power. Just like deep breathing technique, you can practice mediation anywhere and anytime.

Listen to Music

Music is also one of the ways to de-stress your self. Listen to your favourite songs or soothing music to de-stress your self. You can also download music from internet if you do not find any soothing music. Music has got an amazing power to de-stress human body and has good effects on human brain. However, you should prefer soothing music only if you want to de-stress yourself quickly.

Take a Nap

If you feel extremely de-stressed, you should take short naps. Lie down on a mat in Shavasana (a yoga posture). Keep your palms open and legs stretched. Lie down in this position for couple of minutes to feel de-stressed.

Go for a Walk

Sitting continuously in office for long hours and working causes lot of stress. It is not good to be bound by chair as it may result in health disorders as well. As such whenever you feel de-stress in office or at home, you can just take a brisk walk for some time and resume your work after that. Brisk walk will help you to de-stress yourself as well as help you to prevent health disorders.

Chat with Your Friends

Some times stress can also result due to number of thoughts coming to your mind continuously. However, in such situation you can chit chat with your friends. Talking to your friends casually helps to reduce stress to greater extent. Discussing problems with your friends help to get relief from stress. However, hiding problems will only increase stress. Try to discuss the issues and problems with your friends or family members whenever possible to stay away from stress. Having discussions with friend and family members may at times help you to find solutions for solving problems.

Quick Head Massage

Give yourself a quick head massage by putting your fingers inside your hair and gently rubbing your scalp. Massage helps to improve blood circulation and as such helps to reduce stress. You can practice this easy stress bursting technique whenever you want. However, if you are at home, you can use oil for head massage to reduce stress as well as to get good sleep.

For me taking a short walk in a garden helps to de-stress. whenever I m stressed out, i leave everything and go out for a stroll. The cool breeze and being with nature helps me relax.
