However, there are also the ones who love to cycle. When pregnant most of them will be advised to leave cycling. There is nothing wrong in cycling during pregnancy if the pregnancy is not high risk or if the doctor advises otherwise.

Then it is again imperative to take all the precautions in relation to the safety during pregnancy. It is because after the first trimester even a little fall can be injurious to the baby. Thus at times the pregnant women might not be able to balance herself while cycling. A trip or a fall is definitely not something worth any exercise. Hence it is better to be safe than be sorry later.

If the pregnant women witnesses cycling as a light exercise and is very safe it is alright to do it. It provides with relaxation of the ankle and foot muscles. But the thumb rule is to be extra careful during the nine months. Since the risk of falling is high, it is better to avoid cycling during pregnancy.

The benefits of cycling are similar to those of light exercise. So those pregnant women who pursue it daily will feel fit and happy. However it is similarly advisable to watch for breathlessness, dizziness or giddiness which is actual signs of some danger.
Although cycling provides many benefits, it may be risky during pregnancy. The risk of losing balance and falling prevails while cycling and it is even more during pregnancy. So, to have a safe pregnancy it is better to prefer other low-impact exercises like walking during pregnancy.
