You can have them on chilly winter mornings with a hot cup of tea as your breakfast, or also during lunch time with some vegetable curry. 1. Carrot and Peas Paratha

This is also a tasty recipe as it contains carrots and peas. For this recipe you need grated carrots, green peas, flour, chopped onions, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, salt to taste and oil for frying. First of all you need to grate the carrots and then mix it in the flour with mashed green peas, chopped onions, and a pinch of red chilli powder. Mix all the ingredients well and make soft dough, now make small balls from it and roll them into Parathas. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan and fry the Parathas on both sides. Serve with any your kid’s favourite chutney.

2. Aloo Paratha

This Parathas is the most common of all parathas and is a favourite among children too. Potatoes are good source of carbohydrates and keep you full for long hours. Here is the recipe of how to make it. Firstly boil potatoes and mashed it, and mix it with flour, chopped onions, chopped green chillies and mix well to make soft dough. Roll parathas from small balls and fry it until crisp brown. Serve it with tomato ketchup.

3. Brocoli Paratha

Broccoli is also a good source of carbohydrates and its recipe is unique. For this you need grated broccoli, chopped onions, ginger garlic paste, pinch of salt and red chilli powder. First of all you need to saute the grated vegetables in a pan and place it aside to cool down. Now take flour and mix well to make dough. Roll small parathas from it fry till crisp brown from both sides. Serve it with any chutney of your choice.

4. Paneer Paratha

Paneer is also a great source of energy and carbohydrates, and any recipe of Paneer is a favourite among kids too. For preparing this recipe you need grated Paneer, chopped onions, chopped green chillies, red chilli powder and salt to taste. Firstly mix all the ingredients including salt and make dough. Now heat oil in a fry pan and fry the rolled parathas until they are golden brown from both sides. Serve it hot with any ketchup or chutney of your choice.

5. Oats Paratha

If your kid does not like to eat oats, give them oats parathas they will surely like it. As oats are good source of protein. For making it you need oats, flour, chopped onions, pinch of red chilli powder, salt, and coriander leaves. Mix all the ingredients well and make soft dough, now make small balls from the dough and roll them into the shape of parathas. Heat oil or ghee in a pan and fry the parathas slightly. Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or coriander chutney.

Cheese with capsicum and onion can make good combination for cheese parathas for children.
