You might feel highly troubled by your child's misbehaviour. It can in fact be very challenging to keep your cool when she is throwing tantrums at the slightest pretext, however; you need to remember if she is misbehaving there is a reason behind it.

If you take time to look back at your childhood or ask your mom, she will state several instances when you misbehaved too. Now, it is very important that you keep your cool and look for the factors irritating your child or causing her to misbehave.

Here we have stated the 10 major reasons that might cause your child to misbehave. Take a look at them and see how easy it becomes for to you to deal with her thereafter:

1. Is She Vying for Your Attention?

This can be one of the major reasons for her misbehaviour. Every child wants her parents to notice her. You might be a busy mom, but try and analyse if you spend quality time with her. Scolding her without understanding her discomforts will hardly make things easier for you.

2. Does She Appear Restless?

Does your child have too much of energies pent up in her? If she has got nothing to do, she will end up doing anything and everything. Take time to play her favourite sport with her. May be a little arts and crafts shall help. You will be amazed to see her misbehaviours vanishing in almost no time.

3. Is She Trying To Imitate?

Does she see people around her misbehaving? This can be a big reason why she might be acting that way. The solution is pretty simple. You simply need to keep her away from such negative influences. Remember, you are her role model, so exhibit the right qualities and let her learn from you.

4. Is She Vying for Control or Power?

If it is so, she will just do the opposite of what you tell her. She shall also argue with you in the power struggle. So, make sure to give her the opportunity to take decisions in some cases.

5. Lack of Awareness about the Boundaries

If your child is not clear about her limitations, she will venture out to find the boundaries. So, make sure to educate her about the right and wrongs, do and don'ts.

6. Hostile Environment at Home

You must remember that children are highly sensitive. If you are fighting in front of them all the time, tension shall build up among them as well. Your child may start feeling insecure and misbehave with those around her. She is actually learning the hostile behaviour at home.

7. Hunger or Sleepiness

Yes, your child may be misbehaving for the discomforts that you may have been ignoring completely. Simple reasons like hunger or sleepiness can make her cranky. So, do find out if she is hungry or tired and wants to retire to bed early some days.

8. Being Bullied at School

Bullying can have serious effects on young minds. If you find her misbehaving suddenly, you may want to find out if she is comfortable in her class. Ask her about her day in school and if necessary also inform the teacher to keep an eye on her. If she suddenly develops an adverse attitude towards her school, it might be a warning sign for you.

9. Sexual Harassments

Sexual harassments at home or outside can be enough to irritate and disturb a child. If you see a sudden change in your child’s behaviour, you cannot rule the possibility of sexual assaults. Let her open up to you, so that she feels better and also know you are always there no matter what.

10. Chronic Disease

Is your child suffering a lot these days? Regular bouts of cough and cold or a chronic disease can irritate her to the point that she may misbehave. Please, see a doctor in this case and take the necessary precautions.
These were few common reasons why children may misbehave. However, there can be other factors also which may lead to misbehaviour in children. You need to figure out what is bothering your child by analysing her behaviour closely to find out the actual cause of misbehaviour in your child.
