Pavanmuktasana - A Type of Yoga Asana

Pavanmuktasana helps improve digestive system and has multiple health benefits. The asana is not difficult and can be done by any age group of people. Pavanmuktasana, also known as wind relieving exercise, is very helpful and is done when knees and thighs are brought together and pressed against chest and belly. The gas that gets trapped in the large intestine gets released due to this yogic posture. This is the main reason why it is called Pavanmuktasana. Although there are many benefits of this yogic posture, the main one is that it helps in improving your digestive system.

Not only this, practicing this asana regularly will help you flatten your belly and strengthen your hip muscles giving you the perfect shape from back as well. The muscles of the lower back get relaxed and it messages the colon as well. It is very helpful and relaxing for patients suffering from joint pain and sciatica.

Pavanmuktasana strengthens the entire abdominal area and stimulates liver, spleen, small and large intestine if performed properly and regularly. The abdominal and hip area is toned by doing this exercise and gives you that level of firmness that is sufficient to perk you up. It stimulates the digestive juices normalizes the level of acids in the stomach. Even the abdominal wall is strengthened and made much stronger.

Not only this it helps to improve the diabetes and blood pressure of the patients that have this problem for many years as well. This is done by relieving the toxins from the body and making space for fresh air and this helps increase the supply of fresh blood in your body. All these things help improve the diabetes and blood pressure.

The only thing that you should keep in mind is that perform the entire asana in the guidance of your health instructor. This asana seems to look very easy and simple, but still it has to be done with proper care and consciousness. The level of pressure and stretching can be taken care of by your instructor.

The essence of yoga lies in proper breathing and improving intake of fresh air in your body. The asana is done perfectly maintaining the inhaling and exhaling at proper time. You have to follow the right breathing technique when you are performing Pavanmuktasana.

If basic yogic exercises are done with proper care and precaution, you will see overall health benefits improving your physical as well as mental fitness. Yoga gives flexibility and strengthens particular body parts of your body. However, the precautions should be taken as instructed.
