Stress can give rise to lot of health disorders. Therefore, stress management is very important. Yoga is one of the best stress management techniques. Practicing yoga regularly for sometime can help to cope with stress easily. Read on to find more about the yoga postures for coping with stress.
Yoga is very beneficial for health and it is also gaining popularity these days. People are facing lot of stress and there are many reasons behind this. The busy lifestyle and hectic schedule of the modern day people have led most of them to suffer from stress from various sources. Some try to take refuge in medication while some wish to get rid of it naturally. However, you can chuck out stress with the help of some specific yoga asanas and Pranayamas.

Have a quick look at the yoga asanas which can help you to deal with stress.

Breathing Exercises in Yoga

Yoga asanas are based on breathing exercise and helps to control and regulate the way we breathe. If you want to have a stress free life, this right breathing pattern and right posture will help you a lot. When the breathing is harmonized, right amount of oxygen and blood gets distributed among different body parts. The brain too gets sufficient amount of oxygen and hence help the person to work well and feel energetic also. This automatically reduces stress.

Pranayama

Some of the specific Pranayamas are extremely helpful for reducing stress like anulom vilom, bhramari, udgeet and some more. However, to learn more about it you will need a yoga guru or a right teacher to guide and supervise you and your movements.

Meditation

Meditation is one of the best ways to de-stress yourself. However, there are many misconceptions regarding meditation and most of the people do it in a wrong way. Before you start doing or trying to do meditation, educate yourself and practice. Do not get discouraged or depressed. It takes time and practice makes a man perfect.

Savasana

Savasana is in which the person lays down straight on his back and after closing his eyes stays there for few minutes. The breathing is normal and deep.

Makarasana

Makarasana is in which you will have to lie down on your stomach with head downwards and remain still in this position for few minutes, breathing normally.

Balasana

Balasana is the posture in which you have to position like the fetus. This de-stresses the back and helps you relax.

Apart from yoga, right posture is very important for reducing stress levels. Right posture helps reduce stress in body and mind too. If your sitting and standing postures are right and proper, your brains will get apt signals and hence your body and mind will function well leaving out the stress level.

Yoga is, in fact, beneficial for all age group of people. The best thing about the yoga asanas that you can do to relax yourself is that you do not have to invest lot of time. You can do most of the asanas in your car, your desk or anywhere else. Meditation will help you calm down your mind and this will have positive impact on your body. It will teach you how to relax anywhere and will help you get a mental vacation whenever you wish to take one.

If you practice yoga and meditation daily, you will feel the difference in your body, mind, work efficiency and attitude towards life and worldly things. It will teach you to enjoy life even if there are many stressing things around. You will have emotional, mental and physical benefits from it.
