How to Stick to the Exercise Regimen

Many people start with their exercise regimen with lot of enthusiasm but they are unable to continue it due to some reason or the other. Read the following tips for starting your exercise regimen again and know how to stick to it forever. Get ready with your exercise mat and exercise DVD to get started with your exercise regimen again.

Almost everyone knows that exercise is good for health. Even if you are not fat you need to exercise to keep yourself fit and healthy. However, many make resolutions but find it very hard to stick to it. Well, there are certain tips that can help you take out time to exercise and start a new regimen.
If you are one of those persons who give priority to other things than exercise, you must know that exercise will make you feel energetic and perhaps feel younger too. In addition to this, health benefits of exercise, yoga and meditation cannot be overlooked. Exercise builds strength and reduces stress also.

How to Start an Exercise Regimen and Stick to It

Are you not able to continue your exercise regimen due to some reason or the other? Follow these tips for starting and sticking to your exercise regimen.

Opt For the Form That you Enjoy -

If you enjoy the way you exercise, you will have more chances of sticking to it. It is not necessary that you need to spend time in gym and do the exercise you find boring and tiring. You can take morning walk and get refreshed or opt for cycling, swimming, any sport of your choice or even dance in your room with an ipod. The main formula is that you enjoy the workout as enjoyment is key factor that will help you stick to it.

Fix a Time to Exercise -

Fixing time exclusively for exercise is one of the best ways to stick to it. Set aside all your necessary and unnecessary engagements during that time and start your exercise. Start slowly and then after sometime you can make use of your full enthusiasm.

Do not Get Afraid or Disheartened Easily -

When you will start an exercise regimen, you may not find results faster or even no results at times. Remember, when your dream is big and clear, you are definitely going to reach it. Just stay committed and consistent with what you are doing and do not worry about the results.

Tell Your Close Ones -

If you are on a weight loss regimen, spread the word. Tell your husband, your close friends and anyone you feel can boost you up. It is human nature to perform well when someone else is watching. You can also let them know your goals.

Start Slowly

If you have never worked out or have been idle for a long time, do not expect that you will be able to workout for long instantly. Start slowly and gradually improve your speed and time so that you can go for a long time.

Water -

Do not forget to pay attention to the intake of water. Drink plenty of water so that you are saved from dehydration and do not get exhausted quickly.

Make a Chart -

If you have planned to start exercising to lose weight, it is better you make a chart so that you know what the results are.

Diet -

Do not forget to pay attention to your diet. Eat healthy and stay away from junk foods as far as possible to get better and quick results.
The above tips are definitely going to help you start an exercise regimen and also stick to it. However, if you are extremely busy, you can take up every opportunity you get to have a little workout. Go for a short walk during your lunch break, pace while talking on the phone or do some crunches while watching television.
Remember, your health is the most important thing in your life. Do not drive for short distances and quite the elevators as far as you can. You will find positive results.
