Sometimes the anger is due to their action and is aimed at them, but other times it is simply because of the uncontrolled outburst of anger that parents feel. 1. Take Time Out

Taking a break can help you have control on your anger. Walk to another room or take a time-out. Even if you do this for a minute or two, you will find that you have recovered your calm.

2. Make a Journal

This might sound funny, but it will help you a lot in the long run. When you are angry, just write down the reason why you are angry and then write everything in detail. You will find that after putting everything down you will be able to come-up with the ways to control your anger.

3. Let It Go

If your child has not done something that is going to harm him or put anything into risk, let it go.

4. Analyse Your Past

If you find that you get angry very fast and easily, it is time you check your past. Parents who have unresolved anger in the past get angry very quickly. So, identify your problems and try to rectify them especially the ones that contribute to present anger.

5. Keep Your Perspective Clear

Children make parents angry and sometimes annoyed. Well, you have to make the difference between the two and do not bother yourself with the small and not so dangerous actions of your children. Remember that accidents happen and you are the adult on the situation and so you should never forget that.

6. Make Anger Your Friend

Emotions are always there for a purpose. Healthy anger can help you fix a problem at times. After all you will not like to let go your child’s misbehaviour uncorrected and also do not like the same behaviour bother you always.

7. Do Not Harm Yourself

Anger often damages you inwardly along with outwardly. So, the next time you find something annoying, keep yourself humble and analyze the situation before you react.

8. Watch Situations that Trigger Your Anger

If you are facing some serious problem or situation in your life you are likely to get angrier and often on trivial issues. Understand that there will be always one or the other problem in life. As you mature as a parent you will understand that only thing you can control is your own actions. If you handle anger effectively it will work both for you and your child.

9. Listen to Music

Music can help you relax and calm your nerves down. You can choose some other ways also that can help you relax your mind and control your emotions.

10. Yoga and Meditation

Yoga and meditation can help you come out of the frequent emotional outbursts that you feel. Apart from this, breathing relaxation techniques also help a lot because it helps to give more oxygen to your brain and this calms you down.
Occasionally anger helps to make children pay attention to what you are saying, but if anger is your only weapon to control your kids, you need to realize and work on the condition. The above tips and techniques can help you control your anger and irritation and will help you calm down. Make sure you do not over react or create problems on small issues. It is better to analyze the situation, listen to your child and then give your reaction.
