Cauliflower French beans Carrots Peas Garlic Onions Butter Cheese Milk Maida (all purpose flour) or Wheat flour Salt Oil
METHOD
WHITE SAUCE:
In a deep pan, on a low flame melt 4 tsp butter, add 4 tbsp of Maida or wheat flour, 1/2 tsp salt, pinch of pepper and mix it well. Then add 2 cups of milk and mix well so that there are no lumps. Keep stirring constantly. You can also add cheese, but it is optional. Add more milk depending on consistency. Let it cook on a medium flame until the mixture thickens and is smooth. Add salt to taste. Your white sauce is ready.
BAKE:
Preheat oven to 180 degree C.
Boil vegetables until tender. Heat oil or butter in a pan on a medium flame and saute garlic and onions. Then add boiled vegetables and saute them. Add half the white sauce, salt and peppers and mix it well with the vegetables.
Grease a baking dish and transfer the vegetables. Now add the other half of the white sauce. Finally add a layer of grated cheese and cook it in the over for 25 minutes or until brown.
Serve with hot sauce if you like it spicy. This can also be served on toast.
Enjoy!
(Tip: you can also add corn, broccoli, mushrooms or capsicum;
White sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Note that it will thicken, so when using simply add milk and heat it)
