Dosa and Chutney

All you need to do is soak Urad Dal or split black lentils and Rice in the morning. If you take one cup of Urad Dal, you must take two cups of rice. Wash them properly before soaking them in the morning and grind them well at night. After grinding it put a pinch of cooking soda in it. The next morning batter is ready to use. Once the batter is ready it can be stored in a refrigerator and used for two to three days.
Paratha
Paratha is one of the simple recipes that can be made using any vegetable. If no vegetable is available, it can be made using cheese or left-over Bhaji as well. All you need to do is while rolling chapatti add some vegetables in it.
Paratha can be given to children along with tomato ketch-up or chutney.
Idlis and Chutney

Take Kadhai and pour oil in it. After oil gets heated, put cumin and mustard seeds in it and let it splutter. After the seeds get spluttered, put curry leaves, chopped onion and chopped chillies in Kadhai.
Once the ingredients in Kadhai get a little cooked, wash flat rice and before it becomes very soft put it in Kadhai by soaking the additional water in it. After putting flat rice, you can put turmeric powder, salt and sugar for taste and chopped coriander leaves. Mix all the ingredients well and your perfect poha is ready to serve.
Upma
Umpa is also one of the easy to prepare lunch box items for children. The ingredients that are required for making Upma include semolina, onion, green chillies, curry leaves, coriander leaves, mustard and cumin seeds, split black lentils, roasted peanuts, (Urad Dal), water, salt and sugar for taste and oil. Once you gather all the ingredients take Kadhai and put oil as per the requirement. When the oil gets heated put mustard seeds, cumin seeds, split black lentils and curry leaves in the Kadhai. After these ingredients splutter properly, put onion, green chillies and roasted peanuts in it. Let these ingredients cook for a while on low flame and then add water to it.
While the other ingredients are cooking, roast semolina in a pan on a low flame till you get a good aroma from it. Add the roasted semolina to the Kadhai with other ingredients. Add sugar and salt as per taste and put coriander leaves. Mix the ingredients well and ensure that you mix it till the consistency becomes according to your requirement. If the consistency becomes very thick, you can add more water to it.
