Are you aware of the milestones that your baby may be able to reach by ninth week? Find out what you can expect in the ninth week of your baby’s development. It is time to celebrate! Your baby has begun her third month in this world and you have successfully guided her till here. But even though you have made it to the ninth week through a lot of obstacles, you still have to continue fighting through the obstacles because the surprises just never seem to end! Babies face various problems in the early month of her development and you have to take precautionary measures and be on high alert every second of the day. Your baby is still adapting. So make sure that you know what you will be facing for the next coming week!
Your Baby will Sleep Through the Night
With the start of the ninth week your baby will most probably fall into the
right sleeping pattern. Your baby is likely to sleep throughout the night without waking up even once. So you can finally say goodbye to all those weeks full of sleepless nights. However, you still need to be alert in case your baby faces any discomfort. But other than that both you and your baby can finally experience at least five to six hours of sleep and feel well rested for the rest of the following day.
Your Baby will Cry Much More
In the ninth week your baby will start her crying spiels once again. With the new
vaccinations that she had been subjected to, in the week before, your baby will be much more sensitive and irritated. Another reason for her
crying spree might be
colic. There is no special solution for colic. Just soothe them as much as you can and try to distract them from whatever discomfort she is feeling. Remember, crying is the only way she can communicate with you, until she can talk properly.
Your Baby will Try to Keep His or Her Head Up
By the time the ninth week arrives, your baby has had a lot of experience in tummy time. So, this has strengthened her spinal cord to a great deal. As a result of that, your baby will now be able to hold his or her head up for long periods of time. Initially, which had been at a 45 degree angle, now she will be able to hold her head up perfectly at a 90 degree angle.
Your Baby will Learn to Laugh out Loud
In these past weeks all you saw your baby do was cry and cry for the majority of the time. Though you would be rewarded with smiles here and there at some points of the day, they would be minimal. But with the arrival of the ninth week, you will be happy to find that your baby will laugh out loud. If you tickle her suddenly or dance while holding her or just pull funny faces at her, your baby will laugh to her heart’s content. While this might bring happy tears to your eyes, your baby will just keep laughing to let you know how happy he or she is!
Your Baby Becomes Dummy Dependent
Ideally, it is better if you don’t introduce pacifier to your baby. But if you had introduced the pacifier to console your baby during her cry spiels, now is the time to slowly take it away from her. Some babies get too attached to her dummy and refuse to sleep without it. So try to get rid of the dummy before your baby gets too attached. She might protest initially, but then she will learn to manage without it.
So do not panic. Understand what your baby wants and take care of her so that she can grow up into a fit and happy child.
