Top 5 Reasons Why Kids Hate Studying
Many children do not like to sit and study. However, studies have revealed that if parents take interest in their children’s learning, they find interest in studies and do better. Read on to learn the top 5 reasons why kids hate studying and how you can develop interest for studies in them.

Ultimately every parent wants his or her child to study well and succeed in life. Parents know that success comes in life with adequate knowledge and so they try to admit their children in the best educational institute they can afford. Many parents find their duty ends at this point, but in reality parents should be involved in studies of kids and encourage them to study from time to time.
Even though some children understand the importance of studying and develop interest in it, there are many children who hate studies. They tend to easy tasks or play so that they do not have to put in much effort. There are reasons why children dislike studies and if your child is facing any of these, you should motivate him to start learning.

5 Reasons Why Kids Hate Studying Everyday

Have a quick look at the top 5 reasons why kids hate studying.

  1. Find Studies Boring

Usually children hate the learning process because they have to repeatedly learn the same thing for long. Making learning an interesting activity can be of great help here. They get bored with the routine study schedules and procedures. Fun activities and games can bring back the interest in studies.
One of the important reasons why children may find studies boring is the wrong method or way of teaching. The way in which a child is taught cannot be overlook. As a parent you may try a different way of teaching which your child may find interesting and which can help to develop love for studies.
  2. Has Failed to Achieve Certain Goals

There are times when children work hard and still do not get grades in exams or the child is under depression. You should not complain during such times. Instead encourage him to pursue his own interest and excel in those fields.
  3. Lack of Proper Environment

In many homes it has been observed that children do not have proper place to sit and study. Most often mothers disturb children to monitor their studies or to make them complete their homework. On the contrary a good environment is very important for studies. A quiet room with minimum disturbance and having sufficient lighting makes the child concentrate well.
  4. Lack Awareness of Learning in Lives

Children who do not know the importance of learning in their lives usually hate studying. You should teach your child why studying is important in life.
  5. Lack of Appreciation and Rewards

Usually parents insist on completing homework and making their children complete the daily studies but forget to appreciate their effort and interest. Gradually, child loses interest and starts hating studies. Regular appreciation and rewards from time to time encourages the child to keep studying well.
Although the above 5 reasons are the major and common ones why children lose interest in studies, there are many ways in which you can motivate your children to excel in studies by using their potential. Make them aware of what their capabilities are. Once they will know themselves, they will never look back.
One of the most important things that you should keep in mind is that your child might bring lower grades even if he is a very good and sincere student. You should not discourage or blame him. Instead encourage him so that he learns from his failure and with your support rises even better.
Children sometimes get stuck and they need parents to help them out. If your child does not like studying, possibilities are that he does not understand the subject. Accompany your child during studies and help him. Also, identify the field of interest of your child and start with the subjects. Above all, introduce your child to reading as early as possible.

If child is not interested in studies is it right to force him or her to study? How to help kids develop love for studies? How to know the reasons behind disinterest to study shown by kids? Discuss here.

Dear kumar, As u said he hates studies answer lies in that that whatever u hate how come u can retain that..so make study interesting u have to look into his or her interest area and try to start from their only..put urself in his or her shoes and start thinking like that that what should interest u to learn a thing or remember a thing for example if painting and drawing interest him try to make him understand things pictorially. Usually pictures retains more than text.. ..i remember in college we use to create new formula or do things to remember things like wise in kids u have to think like kids and help them to create their own formula to remember things and topmost keep things interesting....

I used to force and even hit my child as he was not studying but after reading the article, I realized that I is not good to force or hit the child but to find out the actual cause. I understood that the child is not showing interest in studies due to the wrong way of teaching.
