1. Lack of Sleep
Enough sleep is a must for every human being whether it is kid or an adult. In the recent time, kids are engaged in varieties of activities
which lead to lesser amount of sleep for them. When a child is not getting required sleep for a longer period then various parts of the brain goes into slow wave phase even when the child is awake. As a result the child cannot concentrate
on his or her day to day activities and motor skills of the child deteriorate to a great extent.
2. Skipping Breakfast
Skipping breakfast is a common habit of many kids especially when they are in their preteens of teens. When a child is skipping breakfast then it takes toll on the performance of the child throughout the day. As skipping the breakfast will lower down the sugar level in the blood it obstructs supply of other nutrients to the brain.
3. Excess Consumption of Sugar
Excess consumption of sugar is not good for brain. When a child is in the habit of consuming lots of sugary foods it creates problem in the long run because excess sugar will create problem in absorption of protein and other essential nutrients in the body. So brain will not get the required nutrients for its proper functioning.
4. Lack of Water in the Body
Whether it is due to illness of because the child is not in a habit of consuming required amount of fluid in a day, lack of water in the body can lead to brain damage. When there is lack of water in the body, it affects the efficiency of the brain to a great extent and the brain’s ability to memorize different information will lower down to a great extent.
5. Not Going Out in the Sunlight
Children who have the habit of going out in the sun will automatically keep fit and healthy as compared to those children who prefer to stay indoors. When a child is not getting enough sunlight it will affect the cognitive skills of the child. Sunlight is important for providing required amount of nutrients and oxygen to different parts of the body so lack of sunlight means brain will not receive the nutrients needed by it and will get damaged in the long run.
