Eating raw eggs can cause many harmful effects during pregnancy. The infection caused by raw eggs can lead to:

  • Still birth
  • Abdominal pain
  • Severe diarrhoea
  • High temperature
  • Headache

Are there Any Benefits of Eating Raw Eggs during Pregnancy?

Usually, consumption of raw eggs is not recommended for pregnant women. This salmonella bacteria present in raw eggs cause infection and there is no benefit of eating raw eggs during pregnancy. If the eggs are from pasteurized chicken then it is less likely to have any infection in the eggs. But to be on a safer side it is always better to avoid any kind of egg in raw form.
