Learn about the developmental milestones that babies achieve during 44th week of their development.Amazing changes have taken place over the last 10 months. Your baby who once was completely dependent on you, will be now able to cruise around the entire house on her own. She will find ways to communicate with you to let you what she wants, and can even speak a few words. Your baby is becoming an individual more and more every day.
Encourage Your Baby to Walk
If your baby has not started
walking yet, you can encourage her by holding out your hands and kneeling or standing in front of her. You can also hold both her hands and walk her toward you. Initially, your baby takes those early strides by spreading her arms to the side for balance and bent at the elbows. Her feet will turn outward, her bottom sticks out behind, and her belly sticks out in the front – all for the sake of balance. All these would boost the confidence in your little piece of joy and will surely make her start walking really soon.
Have You Noticed Bowlegs?
Your child’s legs may look like bowlegs if she has begun to stand and walk more. This is not abnormal – this happens to most children younger than age of two. The bones of your child are weak now compared to older children, but they will strengthen when your child grows old, and the legs will straighten out. Soon your baby will be able to run and play with straightened legs. Though you may need to see a pediatrician if the adults of your families have a history of bowlegs.
Baby Will Get Naughtier
Yes, it is true that diaper changes will become more challenging now – you have to literally run behind your baby as she would try to escape from high chairs, strollers, and baby swings. Your baby may also try to climb out of scale baby gates and also her crib. Your baby will not get tired of wiggling, climbing out, and
crawling out of many situations that would make you feel really restless and tired. But you got to maintain peace, because as much naughtier your kid gets like this, stronger her bones will become.
Help Your Baby Get Down
It is week 44 and still your baby can face challenge to get down the steps. Her
strong bones can help her to get up the steps with confidence, but her confidence shakes when she needs to get down the steps. Well, you need to teach your baby how to get down by standing behind her and gently pulling her down to the closest step. Your baby will achieve the art of getting down the steps well slowly and gradually.
All Your Baby Needs Is You
Your baby still shows separation anxiety even in week 44. This is because your baby is well attached to you. This makes her fit into tears many times when you leave her with her dad, grandma, grandpa, or even nanny. The clear-cut attachment between you and your baby is evident, and so you need to encourage your baby to spend time with other family members too. Soon as this phase passes, your baby would happily get comfortable with strangers too.
Hope you must have
baby-proofed your house by now! The fascinating furniture and stairs can bring more danger to your baby. Your baby’s inquisitiveness is rising every week, and she seems to be more independent now, so she would not give up exploring every corner of the house. You never know when an accident can happen if you have not installed safety gates before and after the stairs. So, this is high time you baby-proofed your house.
