When my daughter was a year round, she had the habit of picking dirty pebbles off the road. To break this habit, I had told her that the pebbles would be dirty as the stray dogs would have peed on them. After 3 months of telling her this, her habit broke off. When she was a 1.5 yrs old, during a noon nap, she wanted a story. I started with the smart crow that drank water from a pitcher by dropping pebbles into it. My 5 year old daughter, Latika, wanted to know how I knew that my sister was going to have a baby? My little one gaped at his stomach for a few minutes, and then, much to his embarrassment, and mine said, “look mummy, this man is going to have a baby.”

My daughter has turned one now.One day my sister was carring her and she dropped her doll and asked me to pick it up I did the same. She then started playing the same with me. Our family goes for numerous short vacations by road. We all enjoy the scenic view of the long rides. Last year, we were driving to Silvasa, we encountered a specially bumpy dirt track.
