  Tiny Wonder

Our daughter Reina is 1yr old now. We have bought few cardboard books for her. We have taught her 'Tomato' and 'Onion' and she knows to pronounce them well. Whenever we ask her to say 'Tomato' she'll say 'Onion'. So one day I asked her to say 'Onion' with a hope that she would say 'Onion' but immediately she said 'Tomato'. We all burst out in laughter and wonder of how she could think and say the other word purposely. Same thing happens with A, B, C... Whenever we ask her to say A, She'll say B.


  Crooked Prawns

Jonathan my 2 year old is an Indian Chinese and English and we speak english, cantonese and hindi. We were having a barbaque and he asked his "dada when are the prawns cooked" and my husband replied "yat crook jau sook" but to my 2 year old. his understanding of 'cook' n 'sook' means the food is ready to eat and he just looked at my husband and said' it mens the same dada'.

I have two children one (daughter) is almost going to be 3 years and second son is 9 months. So one day when the little one was playing with some toy, the elder one tried to grab it from his hand and I told her not to do and to let him play. Promptly she replied *when I become small I shall play with it*. I could not resist my laugh.

He said, ‘Give us this day our daily bread-stick’ (oops, again!) It was only after she had fed him, that he managed to get it right!
