When we were in the US, my two year old son used to play with a Hindi speaking neighbour. We are Telugu people and he picked up a few hindi words like Chappal pahano, ghumne chale, thak gaye ho??, etc etc. from his hindi speaking aunty. Once he wanted to say remove the chappals to her and didn't know what to say. So, he finally told Chappal pahano nahin!!!

Till Dec 03 I used to get gifts for my 3 yr old son every now and then. Since now I have changed my job and there is no shopping place around I don't get gift's for him very often. Our daughter Reina is 1yr old now. We have bought few cardboard books for her. We have taught her 'Tomato' and 'Onion' and she knows to pronounce them well. Whenever we ask her to say 'Tomato' she'll say 'Onion'. So one day I asked her to say 'Onion' with a hope that she would say 'Onion' but immediately she said 'Tomato'. We all burst out in laughter and wonder of how she could think and say the other word purposely. Same thing happens with A, B, C... Whenever we ask her to say A, She'll say B.
