This happened around the late 1970's ..I was visiting a doctor once. In those days, more than one patient could be waiting in a doctor’s room when the other was being examined for general cold/flu etc. While I was waiting for my turn, a middle-aged woman with her son (aged around 5 years) was being examined by the doctor for some throat problem. Her son meanwhile had got on to the weight machine (weighing scale) on the floor beside the doctor. Once the woman was thru with the doctor, she called


  I'm Sorry!

My eighteen month old son Vishnu was trying to get my attention as I watched TV by throwing his small toys at me. His dad, who was watching Vishnu, said to him "Don't do that. 'Kaan pakad kar sorry bolo beta'". Vishnu promptly climbed onto my lap and pulled MY ears to say that he was sorry.

Our daughter Reina is 1yr old now. We have bought few cardboard books for her. We have taught her 'Tomato' and 'Onion' and she knows to pronounce them well. Whenever we ask her to say 'Tomato' she'll say 'Onion'. So one day I asked her to say 'Onion' with a hope that she would say 'Onion' but immediately she said 'Tomato'. We all burst out in laughter and wonder of how she could think and say the other word purposely. Same thing happens with A, B, C... Whenever we ask her to say A, She'll say B.
