  The Roller Coaster Ride

Our family goes for numerous short vacations by road. We all enjoy the scenic view of the long rides. Last year, we were driving to Silvasa, we encountered a specially bumpy dirt track. For about 10 minutes the car rattled and rolled in it. After this bad patch, we decided to take a short break. When we were ready to move again, my younger son cajoled, “Daddy, may we go over the bumps again.”

My friend from Delhi loves shopping. Especially so when she arrives in Mumbai. Last year, when she had come down, she invited me to lunch. I have two children one (daughter) is almost going to be 3 years and second son is 9 months. Usually the elder one has the habit of copying whatever we do and we tell her that once she grows big like mamma, papa she can also do that. So one day when the little one was playing with some toy, the elder one tried to grab it from his hand and I told her not to do and to let him play. Promptly she replied *when I become small I shall play with it*. I could not resist my laugh.

My daughter has turned one now.One day my sister was carring her and she dropped her doll and asked me to pick it up I did the same. She then started playing the same with me. I thought I should stop her from doing this and so I kept my hand below where ever she took the doll and suddenly she turned and throwed it on the other side and she enjoyed it and I picked it up with proud face as I could see her act in a second but other family members were laughing at me.
