  Tiny Wonder

Baby Name: Reina
Parent's Name: Stella Joseph

Our daughter Reina is 1yr old now. We have bought few cardboard books for her. We have taught her 'Tomato' and 'Onion' and she knows to pronounce them well. Whenever we ask her to say 'Tomato' she'll say 'Onion'. So one day I asked her to say 'Onion' with a hope that she would say 'Onion' but immediately she said 'Tomato'. We all burst out in laughter and wonder of how she could think and say the other word purposely. Same thing happens with A, B, C... Whenever we ask her to say A, She'll say B.

One day, as I was feeding my two month old daughter, my servant walked into the room without knocking on the door. Needless to say, we did not take the matter lightly, and he was fired. When we were hiring a new servant, Nitin, my 6 year old, piped up, “Mummy, tell him not to walk into your room when you are feeding Anjali.”

One day when our cleaning maid, Kamlesh had not turned up I was sweeping the house. My 3 year old son Jivitesh on seeing me sweep asked " have you become Kamlesh today?" jokingly I replied yes. Instantly he replied " then I shall become Chotu (the boy who collects our garbage)"

Once my cousin, whose son had been born and brought up in London decided to teach him about Indian Gods. She showed him a picture of Ganesh. He asked what the mouse below him represented.   The Step Mom

Baby Name:
Parent's Name: Sunita Sabharwal

This morning, I had to punish my daughter for talking back rudely. Later in the evening she went down to play with her friends. I had to run a few errands, so as I came down the stairs I heard her telling her friends loudly, “here comes my step-mom.” I asked her why she would say a thing like that. She responded “You are standing on the steps, aren’t you?”
