Birbal's Sharp Mind

Finding words is hard to describe the intelligence of Birbal. Here is one of the stories signifying the sharpness of Birbalâ€™s mind.

One day a man who made shields and swords came to the emperorâ€™s court. He claimed that nobody else in the entire kingdom could make the sharpest swords and shields.

He said, â€œYour honour, no one can make shields and swords like mine. My swords and shields are so sharp that no tool can pierce them and my swords are so sharp that there is nothing that they cannot pierceâ€.

King Akbar heard the man and was impressed by his confidence. Suddenly Birbal entered the court and said, â€œYour majesty, I can prove this man wrong.â€

â€œThis is not possible!â€ said the man.

The king was amazed and asked Birbal to prove what he said.

Birbal turned towards the man and said, â€œHold one of your sharpest shields and I will penetrate it with one of your sharpest swordsâ€. Birbal smiled.

The man was shocked by Birbalâ€™s answer. King Akbar once again rewarded Birbal.
