Akbar and Birbal's reunion

Akbar and Birbal

Tell your child how king Akbar identified his witty minister Birbal through intelligence as the mark of his identification.

One day king Akbar and Birbal had a huge argument due to which Birbal left the palace in anger and promised to never come again. The emperor was very upset. He missed Birbal a lot and wanted him back again. But nobody knew where he was. Akbar sent his men to search Birbal but there was no news of his whereabouts. They searched everywhere but failed to find Birbal.

When nothing worked out, Emperor Akbar thought of a clever plan to find Birbal. The next day emperor Akbar and his men made an announcement in the kingdom. King Akbar said, “I will offer 2000 gold coins to any person who fulfils a task. The task is that the person has to walk under the blazing sun without an umbrella but yet he has to be under shade at the same time”

All the people were shocked. They thought it was impossible. How could anybody walk under the sun and still be in the shade? The people were confused.

Soon a man came running towards the emperor with a cot on his head and claimed the prize. He said, “Your honour as per your condition I have walked under the sun without an umbrella but at the same time I had the cover of the strings of this cot.”

Emperor Akbar was very happy. This was the perfect solution. He asked the man about how he got the brilliant idea to which the man said that the idea was suggested to him by a man who lived with him.

The emperor immediately understood that it was Birbal. Only he had such a clever mind. He ordered his men to bring Birbal. When Birbal came the King was very happy and both had a blissful gathering.
