10 Scientific Ways to Raise Happy Kids

All parents want to raise happy kids but most of them think that fulfilling the material needs is the only ways to do that. Here are 10 scientific ways to raise happy kids.

Most parents consider raising a happy child as one of the primary goals of parenthood yet few parents can actually say with confidence that they have managed to make their kids happy. Well, there are some scientifically validated routes to happiness and if you follow them you will be able to reach your goal.

1. Play Times

Playing with the child creates the sense of compatibility and belonging in the child as he or she becomes aware that the parents share similar interests. Play time is when kids open up most and this when the parent baby bonding takes place faster. Regularly allocated play times in which you participate along with your child should be a daily part of your life.

2. Use Humour

Lightening up the mood with your kids actually urges them on the path for social success. When parents interact jokingly and laugh with their kids they unknowingly open up a great door to stress management. Parents and kids who laugh together often find out easier solutions to problems.

3. Demonstrate Physical Affection

Hugs, kisses and cuddles are usually high in a happy child’s childhood. For a kid being held is a smile and powerful message of love and commitment from the parent. So if you really want your kid to be happy and joyous you should shower him or her with physical affection regularly. This will make your kids feel loved and wanted.

4. Work Towards a Happy Marriage

The best way to keep your kid happy is to keep your home and partner happy. Babies over 7 month in gestation can feel the effect of stress and tension in parents and they are prone to suffer from anxiety and sleeping trouble later. So demonstrate affection and love towards your partner as it will make your kids feel safe and happy in the net of your love.

5. Cure Your Own Issues

If you are anxious or depressed then do get help before your mental health issues get in the way of your child’s happiness. The good news is that clinical psychology treatment lines are strong enough to help depressed or anxious parents learn the basic concepts of positive parenting.

6. Empathise and Listen

Listening to what your kids went through the whole day at school or play school and then trying to understand their point of view is important. Children who can talk to their parents about their day become healthy happy young adults who have a lesser chance of drifting away.

7. Spend Time Together

Parents who spend time together with their kids like going on walks, visiting the zoo or going on picnics actually strongly communicate their interest and involvement in their children. Research has shown that kids who get to spend lots of times with their children grow up to be happier and well adjusted.

8. Let Go When the Time is Right

Clinging to your kid will only make him or her angry and unhappy especially when the kid grows older. Parents should know where to draw a line between being involved and overprotective as children need the freedom to do certain things on their own and then learn from their successes or failures. This is the only way they can truly be happy.

9. Encourage

Encourage your kid from early childhood to meet goals and achieve aims. Positive enforcement contributes a lot to the happiness of the child. Once your kid gets the fact that you really believe and root for him or her path to happiness and a confident adulthood is easy.

10. Teach Values

The way to lasting happiness is through learning the right values in life. Once children are taught the difference between right and wrong action then can grow up to be better and happier humans.

Now that you know the scientific ways of raising happy children start using them from today!!
