How to Prepare Body for Pregnancy

Preparing the body is very important for a successful conception. A healthy body will lead to a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Getting pregnant requires a proper planning. There are many factors that should be considered before trying to get pregnant. Read on to know ways of preparing the body for pregnancy.


Pregnancy is a challenge for a body. Just like the other systems in our body, the reproductive system too must be in a great shape and condition and work properly. If there is a medical condition or even if one is apparently fit, one needs to
prepare the body for pregnancy. Given below are a few factors that need to be taken care of:


Quit the Birth Control Measures
 

The moment you feel that you want to get pregnant you would immediately stop taking any birth control measures. You also need to consult your doctor as there are different variants of contraception and each determines in their own way on how early you can conceive after stopping them.

If it is birth control pills, it is often found that most women begin to ovulate as soon as they stop taking them. However a successful conception might as well take some time as the body needs to adjust to a regular monthly cycle.

If the contraception is an IUD, you need to get it removed by your physician. After it is removed, your body will gradually prepare itself for conception.

If you are using barrier methods like condom, diaphragm or spermicides, you need to stop using them immediately. Conception usually happens within a couple of months that you get rid of them.


Take Care of Your Diet
 

Although there is no particular set diet that can help you get pregnant immediately, but following a balanced and healthy diet and taking care about certain things can definitely help prepare your body in a better way for the pregnancy challenge. A good diet that all the necessary nutrients keep your body in good shape that is so very important for healthy pregnancy. It is very easy to acquire the desired nutrition from whole grains and the seasonal fruits and vegetables. Then if you feel that you want to get completely rid of the pesticides and toxins completely, you can also consider switching to an organic diet.


Maintain Your Body Weight
 

While preparing your body for pregnancy, it is important that you take care to maintain your ideal body. It is a relative factor as the body structure, height and other associative factors like genetic, lifestyle determine on what should be your ideal body weight. So seek the opinion of your fitness instructor and dietician in calculating your ideal body weight. Remember, eating well should not mean eating a lot. You must eat right and eat healthy.


Diabetics Should Take Care
 

If you are diabetic or are obese, you need to take extra care when you are trying to prepare your body for pregnancy. It is extremely important that your blood pressure and cholesterol levels are under control otherwise these can be factors that can prevent a successful conception.


Stay Physically Fit
 

Exercise regularly for keeping your body healthy. This improves fertility and aids in successful conception. There are certain factors in daily life that can prevent conception like stress and sedentary work, etc. regular working out can keep your circulation healthy, promote better sleep, keeps you stress free and allows your body to repair and rejuvenate to face the challenges of regular life, and thus help you conceive soon. But remember, regular exercise must not mean mindless over exertion; as it can cause irregular menstrual cycles. Therefore, it is always advisable to set your workout regimen after consulting a fitness expert.


Avoid Toxins
 

For a healthy conception and you need to stay away from chemical products and toxins. This is true for both the partners and toxins can negatively impact fertility and bad for the fetus as well.

Follow the above tips and prepare your body for getting pregnant the right way. You can also take tips and advices from your gynecologist on proper healthcare regimen for getting pregnant. Good luck for a healthy pregnancy!
