You need to strictly follow the advice of your healthcare provider the moment you decide to get pregnant after experiencing a miscarriage. A pre-conception consultation is very important as your reproductive and fertility status needs to be checked before you take on the challenge of pregnancy again. It can happen as a follow through some kind of anatomical reasons or due to hormonal issues.

Rest Adequately

Miscarriage brings about a lot of changes in the body. The reproductive constitution of the woman is stressed out and you need to give it time to get treated and healed. This is not possible without giving your body adequate amount of rest. Try to stay relaxed and reduce your work load. Allow your body to prepare itself for another pregnancy and properly brace up for the natural rigours of pregnancy.

Include Folic Acid in Your Diet

Make sure that your regular intake of folic acid is adequate. Consult with your healthcare professional to determine on what should be your ideal dosage. A lot of complications during pregnancy often arise due to the lack of folic acid in the mother’s diet. You need to understand that low folic acid levels in your system can expose your unborn baby to the risk of developing brain and spinal cord problems. There are several studies that suggest that low folic acid can also result in miscarriages and still births. So apart from a clinically prescribed supplementary dose, make it a point to include fruits and green leafy veggies which are natural sources of folic acid.

Further, take care about the other essential nutrients that are necessary to give birth to a healthy baby.

Check your Lifestyle

Ensure that you are following a healthy lifestyle. Avoid caffeine at all costs. This is the time when you should be stress-free and caffeine is found to cause a surge in the stress hormones like adrenaline and noradrenalin. This negatively impacts the pituitary glands and also hampers the normal functioning of the ovaries. So this makes conception difficult. Further, caffeine cal potentially hinders the easy absorption of folic acid that happens to be a part of your diet.

Finally, hold on to optimism and believe that you will sure attain your dreams of becoming a mother. Miscarriage is a trauma that needs some time to be completely overcome but it does not do any irreparable damage to your system. A relaxed and cheerful disposition actually helps to trigger a normal functioning of the pituitary gland and the menstrual cycles gets regulated effectively, thereby creating chances for successful conception and pregnancy.
