 Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My friend is 5 months pregnant. The recent scanning report says that the brain of the foetus has grown outside the body. The Doctor says that it is an "Amniocentesis" case. Is it safe to carry the pregnancy at this moment, or better to go for abortion? What are the implications of baby after delivery with this symptom?

Ramita (Mexico, USA)

A: If the brain has developed without the development of the skull bone then the pregnancy will not be able to survive, so it is better to terminate it. Amniocentesis is done to confirm the condition called anencephaly.
