Hi my kid also used to watch TV so I fixed his time. Initially he was adamant on watching TV but when he knew that was not going to give in, he adjusted to his TV schedule. Now he has time for everything and sometimes he even does not watch TV in a day.

TV has become a big issue in our house. My kid just wants to watch TV and he does not study or go outside to play. He is not interested in anything except watching TV.

my kid after coming from school sits in front of TV and watches it for a long time. He does not sleep even in the afternoons and also eats his food while watching TV. If i switch off the TV, he throws a tantrum.....

What parents are discussing...

There was a time when homework was given first priority, and everything else followed. However, nowadays it seems that the only time children do their homework is when nothing good is coming on television or, of course, when parents hang the Damocles sword on their head. Television is affecting sleep, studies, mealtimes. If your child's favourite programme is on, she will only go to bed when it gets over. The 'trash' that might affect young, impressionable minds gives parents sleepless nights. How would you tackle this problem? Share with us!
