Behavioural Problems:Are boys different?
2004-04-04
Name: vaishali.

Hi. I have 2 young boys and they are intelligent and polite and good children. My sil has a girl of the same age and though I resist myself to not compare, I end up doing it. My sil's daughter is an extrovert and anywhere she goes is the centre of attraction. She is very affectionate and mature and evokes affection from all teachers and my sil is quite famous in school just because of her daughter. My sons are also outgoing and can take care of themselves quite well and are more talented and knowledgable than my sil's daughter but not as famous. Thankfully they don't seem mind this at all. My sons rarely hug or kiss me so it would be too much to expect them to do that to their teacher though my sil's daughter does that everyday to her teacher. I just want to know if it is only my boys who are so or are boys generally this way. I think it is unfair that a less talented girl gets to be class leader and the apple of the teacher's eye just because she is affectionate.

Hi,
I don't know why u r saying like that??And how u can judge ur sons r more talented then ur sil's daughter.May be her daughter is extrovert & is having some qualities to express .And I think she is more friendly.
Don't mind if don't like my idea.

Hi,

I am a mother of Twins a girl and a boy and they both are exactly the same as you have explained for your boys and your SIL's daughter. It is a general obeservation that intially girls are quicker than boys but at the time of adolescense (at the age of 13-17) opposite starts, girls become more shy due to their physical changes and boys become more aggressive. Please take it as very natural. Initially at the birth of my daughter and son I was comparing them, but now I have also accepted this. If you can afford, go for a third child and preferably a girl and then find out the difference......Take care....Neetu
