Foetal Growth Movements:small baby at 32 wks

Name: abec i am worried as doctor says baby is slightly smaller than average n wejght is 1708 grams at 32 weeks pregnancy. How can i gain weight of baby within 1 month before birth of baby due 1st week of july?

Don't Worry

Hi Abec,

Please do not worry. I remember during my last pregnancy till the last moment docs were saying that my baby is going to be a week baby and they had made all arrangements in the nursery for a weak baby. this was on the basis of their observation from u/s. But touch wood, by god's grace, my baby was born with a good weight. So please do not worry. U/s only gives us an approx idea but may not be correct all the time. I am sure your baby will be born healthy. So stop worrying now.

Dear Abec,
Why are you concerned?
Your baby is doing good!
If you were completed 32 weeks then your baby can be about 4 pounds which is about little more than 1800 gms. I don't think your baby is that weak.

Eating healthy and relaxed attitude will let your baby gain weight.

You will be surprised (pleasantly) that during next weeks your baby will gain weight and fit in normal weight pattern.

To be honest I do not feel your baby is underweight or sort of. Discuss with your Dr. again if this is true, just what I said.

Enjoy remaining weeks.
