Foetal Growth Movements:White discharge

My Wife is a 22 week pregnant ( first time ) . She is 28 yr old . Couple of weeks back she observed a mild bleeding . We went to an ultrasound and had a treatment after getting admitted into hospital . Now she is bed resting , since then the bleeding is stopped , But from past two days she is obsserving a white dischagre ( 2 to 3 times a day ) . We again went to doctor , But doctor said it is fine and it will control .
I am worried , whether I need to go for second consultation . I would appreciate if someone let me know , is this a normal observation or something serious .

Dear Arvinda,
It's perfectly fair to get concered if you experience second trimester bleeding.

The type of bleeding your wife experienced may have been due to many things. One of them is physical stress and second she may have Low Lying Placenta. As long as her Dr. monitor pregnancy closely it's fine and nothing to worry about.

Vaginal discharge is what you are concerned now. This is a very normal discharge during pregnancy. I should add in fact that it may get more as her pregnancy progress and this is very normal. Do not worry for this part at all.

However, if her discharge has some typical odor or color then you should be worried, this may be sign of infection. But clear discharge or white discharge that is not itchy or smelly is normal in pregnancy. Some experience more some don't and thus don't compare with others experience.

Good that you are supporting your wife in her difficult time.
Good luck
Archie

Archie.
Thanks for your response with supportive words . Since last three days my wife is not observing any discharge also . She is bed resting completly .
But then , she expresses her feelings to me everyday after I return from office .
She sometimes feels like pressurised / pushing at the vagina . We consulted our doctor imm , she examined and told that there are no such changes of getting the labour pains .

I have two doubts
1. Are these pushes b'cos of normal growth of baby ?

2. She is resting on bed for most of the day time , Is it b'cos of sleeping in some wrong directions / positions / postures for a long time .

Though I am consullting my Doctor as and when needed imm , Your reply was boosting our confidence and strengthening our will power .

Please do reply .

thanks
Aravinda

RE:adoption in a family
hey ananya this is really a very sensitive case and you should think about it before hand as in what the child would think in future as he or she grows up. Or else you will have to do counselling of the child at the right time.... - ridhi [View Message]

Hi Rupal,
So don't you have any other option because it would be very hard for you to abort the child know.So better ask for any other source if not then you decide what to do.... - Amani [View Message]
