My baby is 25 days old and passes urine nearly every 15 minutes. I asked the pediatrician and she said this was normal.
I have started using huggies nappy pads. I change him every 4 to 5 hours (or if he does potty). I check the inside of the nappy and it seems a little damp (not wet though)Is this okay or do I need to increase the frequency of changing his nappy pads

Hetal replied. Anita, thanks for clearng my sentence in below post,,i happen to miss the information \" nappy pads\" ,,huggies diapers was running in my mind while answerng it.
sry for confusion,, if ne.
for ne diapers/nappies you use,,if you feel the dampness that is caused, irrespective of time/no of hours,,its better to change your baby,,,,mostly when it comes to cloth diapers or nappy pads,,to ensure your baby is away from rashes, and is fresh ! for diapers,,,,they last a bit longer and holds upto 3hours !
Anita replied. i think Hetal is talking about regular diapers. what she meant to say is change frequently like for regular diapers change every 2-3hours. in short, keep baby clean or leave baby without diaper.
huggies nappy pads or cloth diapers are tiring.use pampers baby dry.
neetu replied. if you are askng for better ones,,try pampers baby dry..these works better,,,holds good for long.
SP replied. hey the huggies nappy pads are not like using diapers.. so u cant leave them on for that long. they can withstand urine which is done once or twice max. after that they become very heavy and damp also. so please change them every half hour or one hour once maximum. a little dampness can also cause rashes. also if you want to use for longer please use diapers(4-6 hours) and not nappy pads.
Hetal replied. change every 3hours,,and expect 8-10wet diapers a min/approx in 1 day ! a couple less or more,is fine !
keep your baby fresh and practice proper hygne. fresh baby in future ensures that he is cleaned first,,,a first step to potty training and good habits !
if you happen to know her frequencies and if they seems to be quite predictable,,keep your baby without diaper for a while....
good luck

RE:Baby cries while passing urine - Hetal pls advice
At the same time the child is feeling some pain So try to understand and consult a doctor.... - sharmasanvi [View Message]
RE:bowel movement in 2 week old infant
Some babies go through phases when they either can't use the muscles to empty their bowels or they "forget how to". In that case, it's safest keep using the suppositories daily to make them do a dirty in 5 minutes.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:where can I get laxative?
You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.
(I have a daughter with long-term bowel issues: she can't "do" without them!)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:constipation
When the baby is in discomfort from constipation (especially if she hasn't done some dirty for two days or more), the first thing you should give is a glycerin suppository.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:hi
Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Consult a good doctor immediately as this should not be ignored as it will cause a big issue if you let it go now, please seek doctors advice on immediate basis.... - Aditi [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Hi there please be calm and relax as it happens sometime the child takes little time to start walking or crawling also but in your case the child should have started crawling if not walking.... - Anita [View Message]
