Hi There,

My kid(boy) is 11 months old now and he has not started crawling or getting up on his own(& sit) on the bed. He doesnt stand with support(doesnt keep his hip stable). I am getting concerned and want to know if this is common. Most of the times he doesnt make much effort to reachout for things which can be collected with little stretching...

Please advice...

Regards,
Karthik.

Look Karthik there could be many reasons for your child not responding properly the major reason could be lack of proper food or sleep, please ensure that your child gets enough sleep and food so then only he can be active.

Hi there please don't listen to anyone of us and just go your own doctor who delivered the baby and ask the doctor what is the matter and why your child is not responding quickly to things.

hello karthik according to me you should not worry so much and enjoy the joy of being a parent and let time passes as the child we start walking and then you will be happy so just relax and wait for the right time.

Hi there please be calm and relax as it happens sometime the child takes little time to start walking or crawling also but in your case the child should have started crawling if not walking.

Consult a good doctor immediately as this should not be ignored as it will cause a big issue if you let it go now, please seek doctors advice on immediate basis.

This is weird for me as to what i know..babies start crawling after 8-9 months itself. May be your baby is a bit slow or lazy to make efforts so need not worry. I hope and wish that this should be the case.

You should be much worried. it is different in different kids. some pickup things faster some like to take things slowly. I myself started getting up afer 10 Months. so it is not at all a reason to be bothered about.

The age at which a baby reaches milestones is different in case of different babies. Kindly consult pediatrician for a proper advice and get this problem resolved asap. I suggest that every kid is different and taking a risk will spoil there life . so please take care

RE:Baby cries while passing urine - Hetal pls advice
At the same time the child is feeling some pain So try to understand and consult a doctor.... - sharmasanvi [View Message]
RE:bowel movement in 2 week old infant
Some babies go through phases when they either can't use the muscles to empty their bowels or they "forget how to". In that case, it's safest keep using the suppositories daily to make them do a dirty in 5 minutes.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:where can I get laxative?
You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.
(I have a daughter with long-term bowel issues: she can't "do" without them!)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:constipation
When the baby is in discomfort from constipation (especially if she hasn't done some dirty for two days or more), the first thing you should give is a glycerin suppository.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:hi
Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
