Dear Hetal,
I keep my baby open (without diaper for an hour or so in the day). I have noticed that my baby cries just before he is about to pass urine when he is kept open.
however, he does not seem to cry when he is wearing his nappy
Please advise if I need to check anything
Thanks

sharmasanvi replied. At the same time the child is feeling some pain So try to understand and consult a doctor.
Harini replied. Hi Roopa,
Until baby speak they have only two expressions either crying or laughing. It is clearly know if baby had tears that means they are feeling pain.
Mathur replied. Hi Roopa,
Children would cry when they would have any pain only know.As they are kids and they cannot express so you need to find the problem and must solve the issue some how.
Kaira replied. Hi Roopa,
I think your child might feel any burning sensation while he passes urine. So you have to solve it through some medicine only.
Naveena replied. Hi Roopa,
Seriously no one would know on what reason does baby cries. So parents need to be very careful of baby until they speak.Try to find solution and make free baby from crying.
Pari replied. Hi Roopa,
It means baby must feel any pain or sore at that moment. So baby cries for that. And just according to that you give medicine to baby so then baby would not cry.
Rupa replied. Hi Roopa,

tanay replied. i think so these are the common problem or u can consult the doctor about this.
Hetal replied. the only non-worry thing here is,,,if he does not cry while wearng nappy is might be bcz he does not like feeling of wetness, which means he is ready for pee training ! check on his around about times, and judge it well and see ne responses before urinatng and it should give you an idea to put him to pee,,make sure his head is steady and your child is above 3-4months old !
rest all things, i have mentnd below.
Hetal replied. check on baby responses while passing urine...for 2-3days,, after following as below,,let him stay without nappy if required to check it..
1. if you are breastfeeding, eliminate all spices from food,,esp garlic, chilli or ginger or methi ne such hot foods.,,or restrict thr intake in evenings or late noons.
2. drink lots of cool zeera boiled water while breastfeeding,,and see if helps.
3. include cucumber, banana, lots of fibr and increase your dairy esp the yogurt intake to 2servings per day.
4. keep an eye on urine schedules and if needed, make a note of it...
5. check the colour of urine,,and once your baby has passed urine, just check the temperatr of baby,,and see if there is ne redish appearnce is around the area or not.
6. if your baby is on solids,,make sure to eliminate all hot foods or spices and check...make him drink lots of diluted juices(below1year, if above 1 year, 100% juice), esp the late noon times,or alternatly offer buttermilk with a light sprinkle of sugar(or make sure its not sour and is freshly made/or mix yogurt with water upto level he accepts,,you can add a light tadka of curry leaves pwder and a pinch of jeera pwder)...
if it still continues, after trying the above for 48hours,,make sure to make a visit to your dr !
if the problem seems to worsen in first 48hours, without trying nething else, make sure to make a visit to your dr !
thats all i can help you with...
good luck

Dear Hetal
The baby no longer cries before urinating. The crying stopped as suddenly as it had started.
Anyway, I had taken him to the ped for his 6 week doses. She did not seem too concerned about this.
All the same I would follow ur dietary advice.
As regards point no 6, his urine is clear to the naked eye. However his nappy pads are slight yellow. Further, the area ( between his legs and groin) is red. I did show this to the ped. She was of the opinion that a diaper rash cream was not required.
Regards
Roopa

At the same time the child is feeling some pain So try to understand and consult a doctor.... - sharmasanvi [View Message]
RE:bowel movement in 2 week old infant
Some babies go through phases when they either can't use the muscles to empty their bowels or they "forget how to". In that case, it's safest keep using the suppositories daily to make them do a dirty in 5 minutes.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:where can I get laxative?
You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.
(I have a daughter with long-term bowel issues: she can't "do" without them!)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:constipation
When the baby is in discomfort from constipation (especially if she hasn't done some dirty for two days or more), the first thing you should give is a glycerin suppository.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:hi
Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Consult a good doctor immediately as this should not be ignored as it will cause a big issue if you let it go now, please seek doctors advice on immediate basis.... - Aditi [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Hi Karthik this is a serious issue and you should look into this matter very seriously as its concern with your own child and you cannot let things go, have a good consulting done by a good doctor.... - Amaira [View Message]
