Does your child whine often? How do you deal with the whining? Do you think a whining child should be humoured or scolded?

Whining comes naturally to children because they simply do not know any better. If they want something they whine, if they are tired they whine and so on. Parents are more affected by the child' s whining than the child itself. Not only do they difficulty quieting the child, but also they are perceived as not being able to control their own children.

How often does a child whine? My nephew whines almost constantly. He does not listen when you tell him to stop and keeps screaming. Is this normal? My sister is fed up of his whining. Its driving her crazy.

Hi. I can understand your problem but when you say the child whines all the time, are you talking of whining or crying? Does this happen at any hour of the day or only at specific times? If it happens only at certain times, then there could be some other underlying problem. Try to understand what the child is going through. Children often whine when they are in pain. The child will not be able to tell you himself if he is hurt.

Whenever I go out and see children who whine, it is very irritating. I do not understand why parents cannot control their children. It is very disturbing for the rest of the people in that place. I think parents should be able to keep their kids quiet.

Are you a parent? Do you know anything about small children? A child is not a wind up toy that you can start and stop whenever you feel like it. When a child is unwell or sleepy, he begins to whine. It is neither the child´ s nor the parent´ s fault.
