Hi
Children usually are trained for usage of toilets from 2-3 yrs .1 yr is very early.
Start patiently with her for 1 week by making her get used to the potty and indicate slowly when she wets the bed what she is doing.Show her when u need to do teh same how u go the bathroom.Children love to imitate parents.Wait till she is atleast 18 months.

Moving the child out of nappies into training undergarments, such as disposable or cloth training pants is also an important technique found effective in children who made rapid toilet training progress. Spanking and use of force are the least effective techniques.

Dear aarti,
I understand your anxiety regarding disposable diapers perfectly well, as i went through the same emotions, when returning from USA two months back with my little born .Though i got loads of Pampers for my baby from USA,now i feel that you have good quality ones available in Indian market also.I have been looking in market for some time now and till now i have found that the new pampers is really good in absorbency and i was surprised to find that it was cheaper also .You might like to try it out for your baby also .My baby feels very comfortable in the new one .
Please ask in case of any more queries or if you find a better diaper in the market.

My daughter is 14 months old. I am also trying to toilet train my daughter. I use diapers but can you tell me something more about disposable or cloth training pants. What type of pants are these and from where do you get them as I have never heard of such things.

Anxiously waiting for your reply.

Thanx in advance

RE:Baby cries while passing urine - Hetal pls advice
At the same time the child is feeling some pain So try to understand and consult a doctor.... - sharmasanvi [View Message]
RE:bowel movement in 2 week old infant
Some babies go through phases when they either can't use the muscles to empty their bowels or they "forget how to". In that case, it's safest keep using the suppositories daily to make them do a dirty in 5 minutes.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:where can I get laxative?
You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.
(I have a daughter with long-term bowel issues: she can't "do" without them!)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:constipation
When the baby is in discomfort from constipation (especially if she hasn't done some dirty for two days or more), the first thing you should give is a glycerin suppository.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:hi
Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Consult a good doctor immediately as this should not be ignored as it will cause a big issue if you let it go now, please seek doctors advice on immediate basis.... - Aditi [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Hi there please be calm and relax as it happens sometime the child takes little time to start walking or crawling also but in your case the child should have started crawling if not walking.... - Anita [View Message]
