my 5 yr old is not able to say \" ra\" and uses \" la\" while speaking. for eg. for rubber he says \" lubble\" for spiderman its \" spidelman\" and so on...all kids his age are able to speak fluently and he has started developing a complex now.
is there something I can do?

I think its quite common among kids. My son used to mix up the syllables the (as in dhadi in hindi) and duh (daku in hindi). He still does it at times! If you are very concerned however, try speech therapy. Check out exercises for correcting this and try them. You could enlist your child' s teachers' help as well. My kid' s teacher @ Orchids is a source of great support for me.

yes this is very very common in kids because ra is very hard to pronounce most of the kids talk like that. it is also known as bay language. but as time passes he will promounce rightly. my brother when he was baby were not ablr to talk rs instead he used to pronounce da. it is normal.
