Do you have any childhood memories that you didn?t understand until you were an adult (or teen)?

Yeppers. I was 6yrs old and it was Christmas day but in the early afternoon. So after all the toys and such were cleaned up my mother yelled from up stairs for my sister and I to start getting changed into our nicer clothes, (you know the ones you would wear to your grandmothers for a holiday). Anyways my father was in the basement so mom told me to go down and tell him. Being a good 6yrs old I opened the door and walked down a few steps and yelled what my mother had told me to. Next thing I remember was my father appearing before my eyes with a razor knife in his hand! Now I have seen the look he had on his face before, like when he would get angry at someone that he was SUPER PISSED OFF AT, so when I realized that the look he was giving was at me I started to back up the stairs. It didn't matter he just kept slowly walking forward staring into my face. By the time I was up the steps I went to turn around and run, so as I turned to do so my father swung the razor knife and slicedar me right in the top back left shoulder! When I let out a scream and a loud cry it seemed to snap him out of whatever state of mind he was in and scooped me up and ran up the stairs to my mom. Of course she freaked and he told her some bull-shit story about me getting in the way of him cutting up boxes. Anyways I held that agenst him for a very long time Untill one day when I was grown I was in my room (the basement) and I smoked some crack, I tell you it was so weird, at that moment I could see how my father could have did what he had done. It was like I stepped into his role as I imagined the scenario and immediately realized what really happened and why he did the actions he did. The way I can most closely relate to you is the feeling that I was a complete stranger and I shouldn't have been in the house. Like I was a threat of some kind. Ok so that's my 100% true tail.

kids fitness through play and games
since i have been training young kids for motor skills and fun fitness for a while i see that kids develop most of their sports movements then and as early as 4 years. parents need to be aware that forcing kids into sports at a very early age will not get them far, as they end up losing interest quickly. ... - Sunny Singh [View Message]
