I thought of my son with excitement every day and counted down the weeks. As I suffered through heartburn and watched my body transform, I felt my baby's kicks and waited. And waited. Time seems so long when you reach 30+ weeks of pregnancy. We loved him before he was born, but the moment I held him for the first time I knew that my heart was his forever. When my husband held him for the first time, he cried, holding him like the most delicate thing in the world. He told him, this time in person, how much he loved him.
