I can relate

I know exactly how that woman feels. When I get home from work, my children pester me to play with them. While there is nothing else in the world I would rather do, I am usually too tired to oblige. This way, I can keep them occupied for some time at least.

I think you have the wrong idea. The point is to spend time with your child and introduce them to new things. Art should not be used as a means of keeping them subdued.
