Things We Should Never Hide From Our Kids

Children may get aware of things which parents hide from them in some way or the other. Therefore, it is essential to avoid hiding anything from kids and make them understand in an age-appropriate manner. Let us take a look at certain things that we should never hide from our kids.

Parents usually hide lots of things from their kids. Sometimes hiding becomes more harmful to parents and to kids too. If you hide your major problems or drawbacks from your kids, it will affect them. Kid’s natural instinct is to know about each and every thing of the world. If there is anything hidden from them then that particular thing attracts them vehemently. Hiding from kids means either you lying to them or you just ignoring their queries.

Unconditional Love for Your Kids

Most of the parents hide their unconditional love and emotion from their kids. Generally, mind of kids is not ready to understand things naturally. So, tell them that you love them very often through gestures like hugging, kissing etc.

Care for Your kids

Most of the parents do not show how much they care for their kids in front of them. Nowadays kids become very impatience and rude for not getting attention and time from their parents as they require. They may feel that their parents are not looking after them or are not taking proper care they deserve. Spend time talking to them and listen to their worries and solve it.

Show Your Support for Them

Instead being rude for not getting success, a parent should show their support to their kids. Parents should not de motivate their beloved kids by hiding their supportive nature.

Your Childhood Stories

Tell some interesting and memorable stories of your childhood. Never hide your worse experiences from your kids. Parents should always share their life’s struggle to their kids instead of hiding it from them. It will help your kids to learn from your mistakes and be stronger.

Physical Problems

If any member of your family is suffering due major or minor physical problems then share it with your kids. Sometimes hiding these kinds of sensitive things can make your kids lack feelings. Also they might get a shock if they learn such things later on in life so make them understand such things in a positive manner keeping their age in mind.

Never Hide their Faults

Parents should never hide their kid’s mistakes and faults from them because they do not know what is right and what is wrong. If your kids talk rudely, get angry easily, shout loudly or tell lies to you, you have to point out them and correct their mistakes. It is the duty of every parent to show the kids their faults instead of covering or hiding it from them.

Never Hide their Talent

Most of the parents put a burden of fulfilling their own dreams on the shoulders of their kids. And as such they fail to identify their hidden talent. If your child wants to be an artist let him or her achieve his or her dreams instead of suppressing his or her talent by forcing your child to choose something else.

Your Drawbacks

Usually, parents hide their own drawbacks from their kids which can create a negative impact on them when they become aware of it. Kids learn each and everything watching their parents. Your kids may become introvert or their self- esteem may get affected to see that you hiding your drawbacks or faults. If you have made any mistake, do not hesitate to accept it in front of your kids and try to correct it.

Never Hide Their Favourite Things

Generally parents hide their kid’s favourite toys. It can make them much angrier. They may behave rudely which are really harmful for both of you.
Shower your love and nourish your little one with proper care. Hiding something from them is not the ultimate remedy for any issue. Try not to hide anything from your little ones. We can't hide everything from kids. One day they will encounter truth at that time we won't be able to answer them.

We can tell all the things to kids and at the same time it is not good and also possible to hide everything from kids. So what we need to do is tell them half truth and half lie. We are always in a dilemma when kids pop questions to us.
