it's also a good idea to assign a time according to the type &quantity of home work so that no extra time is spent and the child does not get the feeling of studying too much eg. 1 page of a-z would take 6-8 min so a child in nursery canspend that much time every day or 10 min. a day in kg & so on.

ofcourse it is a good article but it is not concerned with ethics and dharma the child should be taught clearly judging people should be based on their actions and circumstances never ever allow them to become adults of limited inteligence who allways accuse their friends as bad characters after hundread years of friendship.sandhya unaku enne theriyum un nairjum enne theriyum avankitte sollu enke irunthaalum naan ninachaal thontharavu pannalaam aanal intha bhairavan avanude friend anaal bhaiapedavenda aavasyame illai amma un kanavan kitte sollu his judgements are entirely wrong. parkalam

having good character is our natural existence. unfortunately we live in a world that glorifies immorality. as parents we must have the vision of a society when it would not be necessary to teach but one in which it would be the norm. for the moment we must teach for a better world must be brought in and it would be through the teaching of ideas.

i didnt find it very interesting as i have already tried these tricks of hw. daily i have a battle with him (7 1/2yr)for hw. i cannnot tell him if he has 3or 4subjects hw else he would start shouting for not doing.with 1or 2 hw itis ok but not more.most of the times i have to get things done by shouting or force or threat.... idontlike it but i have to do it or else he would get a bad remark.he would refuse to write the date or put fullstop or do incomplete hw or very very shaby, untidy wrong and would lso not correct it if i tell insteaad start screaming or crying etc. i am very worried. my son has gone to a extent of not copying his hw from the board or lying of no hw or if spellings are tobe written thrice he would purposely change it to once,so that he gets to play and dont spend lot of time in hw.he hates studies.he remarks,"mummy when i grow up and when i have a child iwould never ever send him to school". my son is more interested in other books like gk etc but not his curriculum at all. i spoke to his class teacher, explained thigs to him, promised to reward him, lovedhim hugged him gave him so many warnings but no use at all. what do i do?
