Discomforts in the 9th Month of Pregnancy

Many pregnant women face increased frequency in urination during the 9th month of pregnancy. This is mainly due to the pressure faced by the urinary bladder from the baby in the uterus. Since the baby has grown up fully with all the parts including the brain and the lungs during this period, the baby would be nearing the birth weight. Due to this natural weight as well as the obesity problems, if there in the mother, would give sleepless nights, swelling in the feet, back aches, etc. All these put together add up to the discomforts in the 9th month of pregnancy and should be reported to the doctor.

Keeping Relaxed during the 9th Month of Delivery?

One of the most common concerns during the 9th month of pregnancy is the anxiety. There are certain relaxation techniques to keep the mind and body fit. A balanced diet and practicing certain antenatal exercises under the supervision of a certified trainer meant for the 9th month of pregnancy would be beneficial. Taking a bath in warm water would give a soothing effect to the disturbed mind and the aching body.

Fear of labour During the 9th Month of Delivery

The childbirth usually happens after 37 weeks of pregnancy. It is usually during the 9th month of pregnancy, many pregnant women develop fear and tension about the child birth, labour, and the pain to be felt during the labour. This fear will get more and more with the onset of frequent contractions, abdominal aches, and sometimes even slight fluid discharge felt during the course of the 9th month of pregnancy. So, it is necessary to take the advice of the doctor if the tension is more.
Knowing more about the labour symptoms such as continuous or prolonged contractions, amniotic fluid oozing out through the vagina for a sustained period of time, baby falling into the pelvis, positioning of head, type of delivery possible, how to cooperate with the doctor for the delivery, etc. would help facing the delivery smoothly.

Happiness and Anxiety Because of the Nearing Due Date

Certain pregnant women feel extremely moved during their 9th month of pregnancy, as they are going to hold their baby in their palms very soon. Sometimes they may also feel very emotionally happy and proud or curious to choose the best name for their child. In spite of this, some pregnant women may also feel anxious about how they are going to handle their baby after the child birth or how they are going to be a good mother to the other elder ones, if they are there, and so on. The anxiety and happiness may be increasing when the due date is nearing. These concerns may easily be handled by spending some time for these enjoyable things.

Packing the Maternity Bag

The other important concern during the 9th month of pregnancy for most of the pregnant women is the things to be kept ready before the labour starts. It is so simple. The pregnant women can keep ready with a bag consisting of some dresses, sanitary napkins, and other essential items for them. Another bag can be for the child with one or two new born baby dresses, some new born baby nappy pads, and few other items required for the baby initially.
When all these concerns are addressed, it is the time for the pregnant women to await the actual labour or the due date for cesarean depending upon the type of delivery suggested by the doctor. The 9th month is the time where the pregnant women needs to be and would be most happy.
