I make it a point to avoid the use of bad words in presence of my kids. Once they leave for Orchids then I begin :)

Watch out for bad language use at home because it certainly has an impact in children.

i feel that we need to be patient with the children. this may be a passing phase. however, it is vital that the child gets a clear message that such acts of his are not welcome. a combination of reward and punishment can be used to instill desirable behaviour e.g. set up a reward for him ( a hug, a choclate, appreciation etc.) if he doesn't use any bad word thru the day. i hope it helps.

Earlier i used to swear but after i heard my little son using the same words, i have stopped swearing altogether. i believe that bad words should neber be encouraged and should ne put to a stop once and for all .

children learn by example. if you use abusive language, your child will use the same words too.so i never swear in front of kids.....
