A 34-Month-Old Toddler's Development (2 Years, 10-Month-Old)

Your 34-month-old toddler is curious by nature and an independent individual. Find out her milestones in growth and development this month.
It may be hard to believe, but she is 34 months old now. You will find her busy all the day with activities like polishing the shoes, walking in your shoes and rolling is own stroller. She is after all grown-up now and thinks she can do everything that you do. Be careful and keep away the dangerous things away, so that she does not end up doing something dangerous. This is the time when you shall find her almost everywhere.
Here we shall take a look at some of her other growth and development this month. Read along for some interesting information.

Physical Development

She is now an independent individual and shall cruise under the table, over the chairs, in the cupboards and every possible place you can think of. However, even though she is a fairly grown up now, you shall find her crawling up the stairs to her joy. Make sure she is not left unsupervised, as she still does not know if she is safe.
It is very evident that you seem to be busiest than ever. Your active toddler shall keep you on toes all through the day. However, you need to stay relaxed and remember this shall not continue forever. She shall grow progressively and you will be proud to see her achievements.

Potty Training

If he had not mastered the art yet, she is on her way to balancing his walk on the narrow beam. She may also seem more enthusiastic about sitting on the toilet seat. Make sure to develop the habit of washing her hands once she is done.

Social and Behavioural Developments

Your little one by now has her favourite songs, interests, toys and hobbies. You may find her engaged with her favourite pass times longer than before. She shall be interested in her body parts and genitals as well. She shall keep asking questions to you. You need to ensure the answers you offer are appropriate for her age.
She will be curious more than ever to find answers to her queries. Be prepared for the millions of questions she shall be throwing at you every day. Listen to your child earnestly and answer her queries patiently.
She is a part of her mommy! Studies suggest that foetal cells have the possibility of migrating into your head and can be there for several years.
She shall never be tired to be curious. So, expect her to come up with her questions at the middle of the night as well. You never know, you too are learning many things by answering some of her questions.

Development of Language and Cognitive Skills

It is not possible for her to distinguish between the real and the unreal now. All through her different phases of development, this has been vague.
You shall find her participating in plenty of make believe games, trying to become her favourite super hero or riding your back while you have stooped down for some work. You must encourage her to be imaginative and help her continue with her games. This shall also help her fantasise and develop her imaginations better.
Sending her to the preschool shall ensure all round and faster development for her. So, if you are thinking of enrolling her in a preschool, do your homework well. Enquire about the staffs and the environment in the school.
In case you have any queries about his health, you can get in touch with the teachers or his doctor and put to rest all your tensions.

When should a toddler be potty trained? How should parents answer the questions of a curious toddler? Which games should parents encourage at this stage of development? Discuss here.
