Name: Hungry mom

Hi, What food should a mom eat who does not intake milk? My 2 month odl daughter might be intolerant toward milk so I have eliminated it from my diet. However, what other food should replace the milk to ensure lactation? Thanks in advance.

it's a myth that you need to drink milk to make milk...just drink lots of other nutritious fluids...as for calcium try yogurt, cheese, paneer...for protien either fish(avoid shell fish category), poultry or if u r veggie then soy protien is the best..(nutrila chunks)...milk is good fro you but its not indispensbl.

enjoy your motherhood!

Hi
Pls let me know how you have got on and what the doctor had to say
I know they will do lot of blood test to find if she is intolerant to milk as my son went thru the same
so pls do not hesistate to ask me,this is my first child and he was intolerant right from 4mths old and he is 18 mths old and still is intolerant to milk

I think you should get professional advice here as you may be omitting vital vitamins incase she is not intolerant to milk, and I seriously think you should ask your doctor as then he/she will recommend a dietician for you and the baby.If it was me I would see my doctor before taking any steps in eliminating dairy products or milk,as I could be depriving my child of calcium and nourishments.
Good Luck
