Role of in-laws:Advantages of having a horrible MIL.

I see some advantages of having a horrible MIL .

a) I get so angry when I think of her that I could beat PT USHA or any Olympics runner in a race if I raced with angry MIL thoughts ;-)

b) Her horrible nature has made my husband sensitive towards me ;-)

c) Her cruelty makes me appreciate my life more with my husband in USA. ThankGod she is not here ;-).

well what do you say ???

Sometimes I ask God why is it that he gave me such horrible in-laws? I was so happy before marriage. But then I think - one of the reasons that my in-laws trouble me is that I was very naive before marriage. Didn't know how the world is. Never even imagined that there are people in this world who actually enjoy troubling others. So never knew how to deal with such people. But because of my experiences in life my kids are not going to be like me. No one can mess with them. If I would have had nice and simple in-laws, I never would have thought of teaching my kids how not to let people take advantage of them, how to take care of themselves in this world. This I think is the biggest advantage for me of having horrible in-laws.

How to deal with this?

He is a physician and obtained his residency training. I worked to earn for our family for two years until he got his job. Then he applied for his parents to visit us on a visiting visa. We were both wo... - Tina Shah [View Message]
RE:self centered inlaws
I agree they have completely double standards as I recently found out. I saw my husbands childhood photos when he was young. His parents claim they sacrificed everything for their kids and lived poor and behave like martyr parents. Got treated as free domestic servant. But the photos showed them dressed like Bollywood stars with watches and jewellery enjoying their life. O... - Tina [View Message]

RE:Mother-in-law spoiling my child
hello kajal,
if you are rudely talking with her, then this is not way to talking with your mother in law, you tell her in polite way, your son is her grand son, so she never think about his bad effects.... - ruchita [View Message]
