Dear Arvinda,
It's fine to get opinions on your concern.
Feeling pressure in lower abdomen or near vaginal region is OK at her stage of pregnancy. As long as you concerned Dr. and he/she ruled out preterm labor you have nothing to worry.
I do not think this pressure is due to any wrong posture(s). I would however make a referal for her:
Ask her to practice sleeping on her sides, preferably left, if it's difficult to sleep all the time on left side then she can change to right side. Do not sleep on Back or belly.
Her baby is growing and may be moving as well. If she feels heaviness towards vaginal region or lower abdomen may be tightening of belly and this is a mild type of contractions, classically called Braxton Hicks. These contractions are also called false labor and nothing to be concerned off. This is natures way to get ready for real labor.
Since she is in her 22nd week, she is likely facing strong \";roung ligaments\";. This will cause some pain on the sides of abodomen, either from hip to groin or just lower abdominal sides reaching towards vagina. Round ligaments are nothing but muscle stretch. Her utrerus is growing to its fullest size and at this time joints near by will be loosened by hormones. This will exert more pain while stretching muscle (uterus expansion). If she face this;
ask her to rest in the bed for 10-15 minutes, won't last more than this.
What you should watch is this:
1. She does not have lower back pain for more than 4 hours even after resting on the bed (if it's the case call your Dr.)
2. She does not get contractions spaced less than 10 minutes (if she has contractions more or about 6 in an hour call your Dr.).
Should you need to know more on any of the doubts feel free to ask me.
Good luck
Archie
