My son is 13 months old , i need to know how do i potty train him , do i need to wear a cloth diaper or just put him n the potty seat after giving milk in the morning and which potty seat is good ( im planning to buy Babybjorn potty seat ) is that good .. Pls guide me ...

Thanking in advance .. Hetal replied. at 13months, old,,if your child is showing signs of potty training thn only train him,,otherwise allow him to show that signs..
get a good potty seat that he is comfortable with,,,check the pampers site for wonderful potty training details.
keep the potty in the place where your child spends most of the time,,let him see it, and accept it that its for him,and make him sit with diaper during the times you think he poops,and see his reaction as to how he accepts it..
let him explore the potty seat as a part of toy first, so that he doesnt get alert when in future his actual training starts.
to make him sit on potty seat with diaper, talk to him, he shouldnt feel that you are making him sit there for something that he is not ready for it. dont force, just keep trying. if he runs away,,catch him, play with him, and after a while again make him sit,,and he shouldnt know that you are making him sit there,,you know what i meant to say !
once that acceptance, comes,,see how he reacts to potty times and soiled diapers,,whenever he poops etc,,tell him that its the potty,,teach him that word \" pooo\" or watever you call in your language so that down the line he will start knowng what to say when he wants to poo...
and thn once he starts sitting on potty with diaper,,try once a while to be without diaper and see how he continues doing the same,,in accordance to that, train him further. to make him sit there, give him some lil toys to play, some books which has pictures where in child sits on potty seat and such, and before he sits there,, make him understand that the picture in the book is of child(its him) sitting on the potty chair(that is he is sitting),,,teach him what it means,,and it will help him understand it better...children at 13-16months are good in understanding about the comparative view when shown in realistic world and book object,,so teach him that way,,,
other great tips are diaper pin and pampers site..you can also alterntly browse thru prev messages, you will find alot of tips that have worked for other kids too...you never know which tips will work for your child.
cloth diapers are better when child is too young to potty train like before 1year,,13months onwards,,potty seat gives more succss...dont force but keep trying !
